The strait stayed contested, and the means of attack widened. Tankers were struck in it on three more days, one by explosives fixed to its hull from a small boat, and Oman's navy took 25 crew off a burning tanker off Musandam. Iran claimed four tankers halted or mined, and Washington said the main lanes were cleared. UKMTO put crossings about 70 per cent below pre-war for a third week. Türkiye's foreign affairs commission approved the Makkah Agreement, and its three signatories went to Tehran together as diplomats, asking Iran to restrain the Houthis. The Houthis claimed Ras Tanura twice; Riyadh confirmed neither strike. A US letter proposed talks with Iran while both capitals spoke of renewed war, and nothing between them is agreed. The IAEA's chief told the Security Council that Iran still gives the Agency no access to verify declared material.
