Ownership

Vigil Consilium is owned, edited and published by Alex Bachar, an independent creator based in Slovakia who also runs the AceMilitaria military-history channel. It is a one-person editorial operation: every word published here was approved by the owner, and responsibility for every error rests with him.

Status: public alpha

This site is a public alpha. That means: the structure and credibility machinery are real and enforced; the weekly developments brief is verified reporting; but parts of the baseline content — drafted during the site's construction in mid-2026 — are still working through a progressive verification pass. Pages state their own dates and confidence, and content that was written as an illustrative sample is labelled as such wherever it still appears (see the demo archive). We would rather show you the seams than pretend there are none.

Review workflow

Nothing publishes automatically. Every change follows the same path:

1. Drafting — content is drafted against the site's schemas, which mechanically require sources, confidence grades and as-of dates on every claim. A draft that lacks them cannot build, let alone publish.
2. Owner review — the owner reads the full change set, line by line, before anything is committed. Corrections happen here.
3. Publication — deployment is a deliberate, manual act by the owner. There is no scheduled or automated publishing.

AI assistance

This site is built and drafted with substantial AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude): the code, most first drafts of content, and research synthesis. Two things keep that honest. First, the schema machinery — confidence grades, source requirements, sensitivity rules, link validation — applies to AI drafts exactly as it would to human ones, and is enforced at build time. Second, the review workflow above: no AI-drafted sentence reaches the site without the owner having read and approved it. AI is the drafting instrument; the editorial judgment and the accountability are human.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected in place and logged publicly on thecorrections page — what changed, when, and on which page. We do not silently rewrite.

Spotted an error? Write tovigilconsillium@gmail.comwith the page URL and, if you have it, a source. Every substantiated correction is credited in the log unless you ask otherwise.

Funding and independence

Vigil Consilium is self-funded and carries no advertising, sponsorship, affiliate links or paid placements. Nobody pays for coverage, and no state, party or company has any editorial input. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page before it takes effect.

What we deliberately exclude

The site's safety rules are structural, not aspirational: no current unit positions, strengths, movements or readiness; military and nuclear sites are shown at area level only; economics is exposure and context, never investment advice. The full rules are in the methodology.
