In brief
The force-development body. The principal-structure law lists a training and doctrine directorate with an instruction regiment among the armed forces’ components, and the Land Force statute of 1 September 2026 has the Land Force coordinating training-area occupancy plans with it. No source establishes where it sits in the Lithuanian command structure, so it carries no tree parent: its own official name places it inside the armed forces and no further.

- Broad area of activity
- The armed forces’ training system: the law gives it an instruction regiment, and the Land Force coordinates training-area occupancy with it.
- Notable history
- The principal-structure law has carried a training and doctrine directorate with an instruction regiment among the armed forces’ components since at least its 2019 enactment, and the Land Force statute of 1 September 2026 names the body as the one with which the service coordinates the occupancy of training areas. Those two references establish the organisation, its official name and its function. Nothing read establishes the commander it answers to, and P4.6 removed an inferred parent for exactly that reason.
- Strengths
- The body through which a force expanding to a division and receiving an allied brigade allocates its training areas — a published, named function at the centre of the mechanism this module follows in Lithuania.
- Limitations
- Its place in the command structure is not published in any instrument read, its own statute has not been found in the register, and its structure below the instruction regiment is not established. This is a sourced organisation with an unsourced parent, carried as such.
