概要

- Sibiu, Romania. Its own mission statement is to deter hostile intent against NATO and to provide corps-level command and control of NATO land operations, in crisis or war, in support of the eastern flank's security architecture; NATO names the battlegroups in Bulgaria and Romania as those it covers.
- 重要歷史
- Formed in 2020, five years after the Bucharest divisional headquarters, as the second NATO Force Structure corps on the eastern flank after Szczecin and the first in the south-east — the corps echelon that the Black Sea end of the flank had lacked since the 2016 tailored forward presence was announced. Its own site places it on a chain running from SHAPE through JFC Naples and LANDCOM, and NATO's page of 17 June 2026 lists it with the Bucharest division as covering the two southern battlegroups. The Chair of the Military Committee visited it in May 2026 and described its mission in the corps' own words.

- A corps headquarters in Romania closes the echelon gap between the 2015 division and the joint force command at Naples, and its published chain is the most explicit statement any NATO Force Structure headquarters in this module makes of where it sits. The south-east now mirrors the north-east's corps-and-division pair.

- A NATO Force Structure headquarters, nationally manned and affiliated to NATO rather than an organ of it, which is why it is a root here. NATO's verb for its relationship to the battlegroups is "covers", and the battlegroups remain framework-nation contributions; nothing on this record is command over them. Its formation date and contributing nations are not on its own site, and its site's chart, being a graphic, was read as a list rather than as text.
