Romanian territory from the Carpathians to the Danube and the coast, divided between two divisions whose areas the service does not publish and this record does not infer.
Historique notable
The service’s own historical page places its modern foundation in the second half of the nineteenth century and dates its present staff: a combat-training directorate of the land army in 1949, a Land Troops Staff from 1993, renamed the Land Forces Staff on 11 April 2000. Its chart shows a chief of staff with a land operational component commander as deputy, an operations-and-training structure and a resources structure, and the two infantry divisions as the service’s major formations.
Points forts
A published chart from the service itself, which is the standard this atlas counts by: the two divisions are named by the Land Forces Staff, not reconstructed. The service is the largest component of the armed forces on its own account and the one whose formations host and work alongside the forward battlegroup and division headquarters on Romanian territory, relationships carried on the NATO records rather than as edges here.
Limites
The chart names no brigade: combat brigades, mixed artillery regiments, air-defence regiments, logistic bases and support battalions appear as classes under each division and under the staff itself. The tree therefore ends at division, and the record cannot say how the service is organised beneath that level. Strength, readiness and equipment are not published on the pages read and would not be recorded.
