Opérateurs

Malian Armed Forces (FAMa): Handed over to the Malian Air Force on 2 April 2019 at Sénou with training and an electro-optical payload, under the EU's PARSEC security programme; announced basing at Mopti-Sévaré. Current serviceability is not established.

DonateursEuropean Union (PARSEC programme, 2019)

Rôle sur le champ de bataille

A window into the Malian air force's Western period: a light ISR aircraft donated for surveillance of road corridors and river valleys, dependent on the maintenance and training chain that came with it and that the post-2021 rupture with European partners removed.

Points forts

Cheap to fly, able to use short unpaved strips, and long-endurance enough to watch a corridor for hours — the reason the type was chosen for surveillance donations across the Sahel.

Limites

A single unarmed airframe with no defensive systems; its usefulness depended entirely on the sensor, the trained crew and the spares chain that came with it. Serviceability since the end of European support is unclear; the type illustrates how quickly donated capability decays once the partnership behind it ends.

Identification visuelle

A high-wing single-turboprop with fixed landing gear and a long cabin; the ISR configuration carries a sensor turret on the left side of the fuselage.

Emploi documenté dans les conflits

Delivery documented at the April 2019 handover ceremony; no employment in a named operation is documented from open sources, and no statement of its status has been published since the 2021–2022 rupture with the European training partners.
