Le commandement danubien des forces navales roumaines, subordonné à l’état-major des forces navales selon sa propre page et élevé au rang de commandement en 2015 à partir du service fluvial qui l’a précédé. Il détient la responsabilité administrative et opérationnelle de la gestion de l’espace fluvial, de la défense des communications fluviales, lagunaires et terrestres et de la liberté de navigation. C’est la formation qui fait de la façade fluviale de la Roumanie un espace militaire organisé plutôt qu’une simple frontière, et elle fait l’objet d’une fiche pour cette raison.

- Romania’s river frontage and lagoons — the Danube and the delta — in the command’s own description of a zone of responsibility whose communications, navigation and transport it is tasked to defend and monitor.
- Historique notable
- The command’s page traces river forces to the union of the Wallachian and Moldavian naval components into a Danube flotilla corps on 22 October 1860, through a war-flotilla command in 1886, a Danube flotilla in 1952, a river brigade in 1962 and a re-established Danube flotilla in 1995, renamed the River Flotilla in 2000, restructured as a river service in 2005–06 and raised again to the River Flotilla Command in 2015; it adopted the honorific in 2016 with an anniversary date of 1 April 1896.
- Points forts
- A standing national organisation for the one navigable frontier that runs from the alliance’s territory to Ukraine and the sea: the command publishes responsibility for defending river and lagoon communications, monitoring the river space, securing river and land transport and supporting civil authorities and counter-terrorism in the river zone. Its marine infantry regiment is published beneath it, which gives the river frontage a land component under a naval command.

The page states the command’s zone in general terms rather than naming the river, so the Danube is named here from the service’s geography rather than from the page’s wording. The 2015 transfer of river units from the Fleet Command is inferred from the two commands’ pages together.
