A Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and Denmark, signed on 19 December 2023, setting the legal framework for US forces' presence and activities at agreed facilities in Denmark.
Un arrangement symétrique : il se lit de la même façon des deux côtés. Rédigé une seule fois, sur une seule fiche.

Synthèse
The United States and Denmark signed a Defense Cooperation Agreement on 19 December 2023, the third of the Nordic agreements that month after Sweden's and Finland's. It sets the legal terms under which US forces may be present at and use agreed facilities in Denmark, supplementing the NATO status-of-forces arrangements. It is an access framework, not a stationing decision.
Pourquoi c’est important
Denmark sits on the Baltic Sea's only entrance, and reinforcement of the Baltic states by sea or air from the west passes it. The agreement settles the legal terms of US access there in peacetime.

Its entry into force and the agreed facilities are not carried here.
Ce qui reste inconnu
- The agreed facilities are not enumerated. Base locations are governed by this module's sensitivity rules and are not authored from this agreement.
- The date of entry into force, which required Danish legislation, was not read for this pass.
- No US presence in Denmark is recorded on the strength of the agreement; access is not stationing.
