- المنطقة العامة للنشاط
- Elbląg, Poland. NATO names the battlegroups in Poland and Lithuania as those it works closely with; no area of responsibility is published.
- تاريخ بارز
- Formed in 2017 as the first division-level headquarters established under the Szczecin corps, the year after the Warsaw summit established the enhanced forward presence, and fully operational by the end of 2018 according to the division's own search-visible text. It is the division echelon between the corps at Szczecin and the battlegroups in Poland and Lithuania, and the first of the four multinational divisions this module carries to exist.
- نقاط القوة
- Permanence and echelon: a standing divisional staff in Poland gives the two battlegroups it works with a headquarters above them that exists every day rather than one assembled for an exercise, and the division is the echelon at which the 2022 Madrid decision to scale battlegroups up to brigade size where and when required would have to be planned.
- مواطن القصور
- A NATO Force Structure headquarters, nationally manned and affiliated to NATO rather than an organ of it, which is why it is a root here. NATO's verb for its relationship to the two battlegroups is "works closely with" — the weakest of the verbs on NATO's page — and Vigil records exactly that. Both sites that would describe it in its own words are closed to tools, so this profile is thinner than the headquarters deserves.
التنظيمات ذات الصلة
- المجموعة القتالية التابعة للقوات البرية المتقدمة لحلف الناتو في ليتوانيا شريك تخطيطي لـ · حتى 2026-06 · ثقة عالية
NATO's own verb for this relationship is "works closely with". Its heading states that regionally focused headquarters "contribute to the operation, training and preparation activities" of the battlegroups. The edge is graded at exactly that strength: the authority is unspecified because NATO specifies none, and nothing here is command, operational control or a transfer of authority.

المواقع ذات الصلة
Multinational Division Northeast, Elbląg: A PUBLISHED SEAT and nothing more. It is not a command-post position, a wartime location, a current unit presence, a deployment or an area of operations, and the marker it points at is generalised to settlement level.
الموقف
A standing multinational divisional headquarters in Poland, declared fully operational at the end of 2018, which coordinates the enhanced forward presence battlegroups in its area as a headquarters and not as a deployed formation.
The headquarters' current manning by contributing nation is not recorded.
التغييرات الهيكلية المؤرَّخة
